Sustainability: Weaving the Future into Yarns

Responsibility in Textile Production

At Done Mensucat, we view sustainability not as a trend or obligation, but as a core value at the heart of our production philosophy. Our mission is to protect natural resources, fulfill our responsibility to future generations, and minimize our environmental impact. With this vision, we continuously invest in reducing our environmental footprint and contributing to a circular economy.

1. Strategy to Minimize Our Environmental Footprint

We strive to maximize resource efficiency in our textile production processes:

  • Energy Efficiency: The new machinery and automation equipment in our facility optimize energy consumption. This efficiency not only lowers operational costs but also significantly reduces our carbon footprint.

  • Waste Management: Production waste (yarn trimmings, fiber dust) is carefully separated and incorporated into recycling processes, minimizing waste. This directly supports our circular economy model, reducing natural resource use.

2. Circular Economy and Certified Fiber Usage

Two key steps that embody our sustainability commitment:

  • Regenerative Production: We convert textile waste into high-quality regenerated fibers, reducing the need for new raw materials. This approach directly conserves water, soil, and energy.

  • Certification and Transparency: By working with fibers carrying international certifications such as BCI (Better Cotton Initiative), Organic Cotton, GRS (Global Recycled Standard), and Oeko-Tex, we ensure ethical and environmental compliance across our supply chain.

3. Sustainable Options in Product Variety

Our broad product range features environmentally friendly fibers:

  • 100% TENCEL™ and MODAL: Derived from sustainable forest resources and produced with closed-loop processes, these fibers minimize environmental impact while offering softness and natural performance.

  • 100% MICRO TENCEL™ and MICRO MODAL: These ultra-fine, luxurious fibers provide consumers with an eco-friendly luxury experience.

  • We source 35% of our energy consumption from renewable resources, reducing our carbon footprint.

  • Recycling and waste management practices minimize our environmental impact.

  • During winter, we partially meet our consumption needs using rain and snowwater collection tanks.

Believing in an Environmentally Responsible Future

Done Mensucat sees sustainability investments not as a cost, but as a necessity that strengthens our leadership position in the industry. By embedding both quality and environmental responsibility in every yarn, we continue contributing to a greener textile sector.
